The history of furniture, a journey between past and present.
The Chester sofa (known also as Chesterfield) is one of the most popular sofa models in the world. Its origins date back on 16th Century in United Kingdom, even if it reached its peak of popularity during the Reign of Queen Victoria. The version we know today has been developed approximately in the 19th Century. Nowadays the name Chester refers to a sofa with some buttons deeply embedded with respect to the seat (technique called capitonné) and having the same backrest and armrest height.
The queen of sofas, QUEEN CHESTER is inspired by the Chester model and abandons the capitonné on the seat, to acquire a softer shape.
