ON THE ROAD FLAVOUR AND DESIGN

An itinerant ice cream parlour, suspended between tradition and innovation. A vision of inventive artisanship brought to life by Midà and the design graphics of the architect Alessandro Vanitelli. The perfect blend for the creation of a unique experience: a chance to refresh oneself and savour the delicacies of the La Romana itinerant laboratory, immersed in an extraordinary setting. A challenge which transformed into a large-scale project, a spectacle for the eyes and palate alike.

"First it is necessary to discover potential critical issues, foresee a solution and identify the most valid technical-aesthetic path".
Alessandro Vanitelli, Architect

Alessandro Vanitelli, Architect

An experienced professional in the commercial furnishing field, his graphic and design contribution was essential. Together with Midà, he managed to translate and interpret the desires of the historic La Romana ice cream parlour, bringing to life a mobile facility, a standardised artisan laboratory which is also flexible and innovative at the same time.

THE HOUSE OF SIN (OF GLUTTONY)

In the limited space of a small house, inspired by the aesthetic format of
38 La Romana points of sale, every single centimetre has been optimised to integrate all tools necessary for quality and fresh production. The external black-painted metal sheet panels, practical and elegant, the Alutech roof and natural wooden finishings, give a warm and welcoming vibe. Midà knowingly mixed all the ingredients into a culmination of perfect harmony. Together with the architect an innovative recipe has been created, also with potential abroad.

FLAVOUR ON THE MOVE: STATE-OF-THE-ART BITES INTO TRADITION

The beauty of the artisan shop featuring an innovative design is brought to life through two interchangeable modules, developed through meticulous design involving Midà and the architect. The difficulty lay in the creation of a 2.0 laboratory without losing the standard format. At the same time, the engineering of the window panel, weighing in at an impressive 400 kg, was another brilliantly resolved challenge. The result? An artisan heritage brought to life through Midà innovation. Maximum performance, the same competitive characteristics of a permanent ice cream parlour. Modular flexibility for a structure suitable for indoors and outdoors, which can be assembled and disassembled on the same day. Artisan ice cream and design that can be savoured on the road.
